For nearly a decade, CE International’s Center for Professional Learning (CPL) served as a hub for developing, testing, and advancing educator-centered approaches to professional learning. Through partnerships with educators and education organizations around the world, CPL helped create practical models, resources, courses, and learning communities grounded in collaboration, educator agency, contextual relevance, and sustainability.
Originally established in 2016 as the Center for Learning in Practice, the Center joined Childhood Education International in 2021 and became the Center for Professional Learning in 2022. Its work contributed significantly to CE International’s growing expertise in designing professional learning that responds to the realities educators face – particularly in fragile, emergency, and rapidly changing contexts.
Today, this work continues as part of CE International’s broader Professional Learning practice area, where we partner with governments, NGOs, education institutions, and other organizations to design and strengthen professional learning systems, programs, and resources.
