Conflict, displacement, and prolonged resource constraints often disrupt the very systems that children with disabilities and developmental delays rely on most – while increasing the need for timely, inclusive support. Drawing on experiences from Ukraine, Gaza, and Lebanon, this session explores how practitioners, families, and communities are adapting early childhood and early intervention approaches when services, infrastructure, and everyday routines are under extraordinary pressure. Panelists will share lessons about what can be sustained, what must be reimagined, and how crisis response can protect – and potentially strengthen – inclusion rather than leave the most vulnerable children behind.
